| Some
things to consider... |
| Hours
of Operation |
| Let Hang Glide Chicago get you in the air. We will be operating on week-ends only unless we have enough pilots who want to fly during the week, we will make arrangements to have a tug pilot available
and usually start operations at 7:00 AM. weather
permitting. There are no "club fee"
or other yearly fee's at HGC! |
| Equipment
provided for Towing |
| We
will provide an experienced and rated pilot.
A well maintained Ultra Light Tug plane. A cart to launch from
and the tow rope to pull you up with. You
will need to supply all of the other gear
required. |
| What
should I wear? |
| Our
goal is to tow you up and drop you off in
a thermal if you like to soar to cloud base.
You should dress for an average of 10 degrees
cooler than the weather predicts. No open
toe shoes is suggested. Loose fitting jean
pants is a good idea as well. |
| Who
do I call to arrange tows? |
| Check
with Joe to
see if the weather is good enough for flying!
If you get the answering machine it probably
means that he is out towing or tandeming and
the weather is pretty good. |
