Here at Hang Glide Chicago we set a goal of teaching you to hang glide
whether you take one lesson or purchase a lesson package. When your tandem
lesson is over you will have flown a hang glider most of the flight. Our
tandem instructors will make sure the flight is safe and smooth. We choose
the optimal time and conditions to teach and learn hang gliding which will
assure that you get the most out of each lesson and learn the sport
quickly. Many students are able to fly on their own after only a few days
of instruction. As you gain experience you can choose more and more
challenging conditions to fly in with the instructors guidance.
Lesson Packages
| Introductory Tandem Lesson $125 |
The Introductory Tandem Lesson is for the person experiencing hang gliding
for the first time and gives you a broad overview of the sport and shows you
the possibilities leaving you with a sense of wonderment and begins your
journey to becoming three dimensional with a slow descent from 3000 feet in
our tandem hang glider with an instructor at your side.

| Beginner Tandem Lesson $300 |
The Beginner Tandem Lesson package is 3 tandem lesson package that will
show the you just how easy hang gliding is having performed many of the
maneuvers proficiently under an instructors guidance. Careful this package
often gets people hooked and a majority upgrade to the full lesson package.

| Full Lesson Package $1200 |
Full Lesson Package includes 12 tandem lessons, 6 solo lessons and 8 hours
of ground school. If you want to become a hang glider pilot and soar with the
eagles and hawks, touch a cloud and see the world three-dimensionally this is
the ticket. You probably will not need all the tandem flights so you can use
them for advanced training, credit toward solo flights or give one to a
friend. Once you complete this lesson plan you will find yourself in an
exclusive club of individuals that have seen the world with a birds eye view
and truly know the feeling of flight.

| Arlan Birkett
Arlan is a full time hang gliding instructor. He began flying hang
gliders in 1987. He is also a licensed private pilot. |
| Steve Rewolinski
Steve started flying in 1991 and has been an instructor since 1996.
He is a very active competition pilot, flying in many local and national
competitions. |
| We're close to Chicago
That means that you don't have to wait for the weekend and drive 2-3 hours
out of state to take your lessons.
We are less than 1 hour from most of the western suburbs. Therefore,
you can come out before or after work midweek. What a way
to brighten up your day. Coming out more frequently gets you on your
way to soloing much faster. |
